The right food to eat to keep you awake and alert
Sadhguru explains that our the building block for our body is the food that we consume. The food that we eat should depend on our activity. A laborer, an athlete, a spiritual seeker, a software engineer and a student - they should all choose certain kind of food suitable for their activity. Sadhguru says - "Ask the body – not your tongue – what kind of food it is most comfortable with." Sadhguru tells us that in yogic system, food is classified as tamas, rajas and sattva. In terms of quality of food, vegetarian food is better than non-vegetarian food. Sadhguru also explains that coffee and tea, being nervous stimulants, though will make you feel alert and awake initially - but they will dull your nervous system and make you insensitive. What Is The Right Intermittent Fasting Plan?
Sadhguru says - "Your body and your brain work at their best only when your stomach is empty". One of the reasons why people have so much inertia is that they are eating more than what is needed. Sadhguru suggests - "If you are over 30 years of age, two good meals a day will suffice – one in the morning and one in the evening. There must be three hours after the evening meal, before you go to bed". If you ensure that there is a minimum eight hour gap between two meals, you will see that in six weeks time, almost 50% of your health problems will go away!

Fruit Diet For a Healthy Body
The efficacy of any machine depends on how easily the fuel burns. For the human system, fruits are most easily digestible. It is best to eat locally produced seasonal fruits. Going on a fruit diet can make you very alive and active. Sadhguru says - "Whether you want to use your brainpower or be engaged in physical activity, fruit will work perfectly well". At least 30% of your diet should be fruits. And, if one goes on a total fruit diet, it is important to eat slowly, and consciously ensure that you ingest enough quantity.

Why Do I Find My Education Pointless?
Our education system was built for obedience to provide clerks for her majesty's service. A fundamental change needs to come in the education policy. Not every child needs to go into academic education. Few can do that, and other need to learn other skills, for their own well-being and for the well-being of the society at large. But right now, if a farmer takes his child to the field, then he can be arrested for child labor! Then how will the skill of farming get passed on? Who will grow our food in the next generation? So structural changes in education system are needed.

How Can We Transform Indian Farming?
The basis of human civilization is its ability to do agriculture. Transforming mud into food is agriculture. India has over 12,000 years of history of doing agriculture. Sadhguru tells us - around 300 years ago, India was the most industrialized nation on the planet. It is only when the British destroyed it, that people moved into agriculture for subsistence. At the time of independence 77% of the population was into agriculture, and still about 60%. This is an inefficient way - and we need to move them into other trades, crafts and skills. Because in the last 50 years, farmers have moved from subsistence farming to cash crops, their nourishment levels of dropped alarmingly - this is a serious concern. So, organized agriculture at large scale is needed on priority.
